Berdasarkan kisah nyata yang diadaptasikan dalam versi Hollywood. Parker (Richard Gere) menemukan seekor anjing di dekat stasiun saat ia pulang kerja. Anjing tersebut akhirnya dipelihara, awalnya istri Parker tidak menyukai suaminya memelihara anjing. Namun melihat suaminya yang begitu senang saat bermain dengan Hachi (sesuai dengan nama yang ditemukan di balik kalungnya, artinya adalah delapan, bagi masyarakat Jepang adalah angka yang membawa keberuntungan), istrinya akhirnya menyetujui keberadaan Hachi di dalam rumah mereka.
Hachi yang sangat dekat dengan tuannya selalu mengantar Parker ke stasiun saat ia akan pergi kerja dan juga pulang kerja. Sampai suatu saat Parker meninggal dunia saat ia sedang mengajar. Hachi yang tidak mengerti bahwa tuannya sudah tiada tetap setia menunggu Parker hingga bertahun-tahun kemudian, sampai ajalnya tiba.
Fact: patung Hachi berdiri dengan kokoh di alun-alun timur Stasiun Shibuya, sebagai tanda penghormatan terhadap anjing setia ini:)

bully dan nyontek ko jadi budaya sih..

Pada dasarnya memang dunia mau kiamat, yang benar jadi salah, yang salah jadi benar. Saya ambil dua kasus yang menurut saya menarik: bullying dan nyontek. Ya..ya, saya tau nyontek sudah jadi hal yang lumrah saat ini, ibaratnya kaya ada yang kurang kalo ujian ga nyontek, kaya pake makan nasi tapi ga pake lauk. kaya pake baju tapi ga pake sepatu.

Tapi pernah kepikiran ga sih kalo nyontek bukan hal yang baik? pertama yang sangat harus saya garisbawahi dan bold, mencontek membuat seseorang menjadi malas. Kalau bahasa gaulnya" Ya iyalahh, ngapain juga gw belajar, orang gw udah bikin gebetan sekecil-kecil kutu di kaki gw" atau " Aah aku nyontek si Mawar aja ah besok" Apa akibatnya dari rasa Malas ini menimbulkan Kebodohan pada akhirnya. Siapa yang dirugikan kalo seseorang itu bodoh? Bukan hanya dirinya, namun juga orang disekitarnya. Contohnya; orang tua. Papa mama kita udah biayain sekolah susah-susah, kalo akhirnya hanya untuk menjadi plagiat, kasian kan mereka?.

Oh ya tapi dari pengamatan saya, terkadang ada orang tua yang menuntut anaknya terlalu tinggi, sehingga membuat anaknya tersebut merasa harus mendapatkan nilai bagus, padahal mungkin dia sudah pintar, akhirnya dia juga ikut berkecimpung di dunia contek mencontek. Jadi saya rasa mengenai hal ini diperlukan kesadaran dari diri kita masing-masing dan juga peranan orang tua. Percaya deh, kalo kamu dapet nilai bagus dari hasil kerja keras sendiri, rasanya puas banget dibanding dari hasil nyontek :)

Lanjut ke topik bullying, bagi semua orang bullying adalah hal yang biasa di segala tingkatan pendidikan. Padahal bullying ini dapat membawa dampak negatif bagi korbannya. Suatu saat saya pernah diceritakan oleh orang tua yang anaknya menjadi korban bullying, Anaknya menjadi tidak percaya diri karena terlalu sering mengalami bullying di sekolahnya. Saya rasa bagi kamu yang suka melakukan bullying kepada orang-orang di sekitar kamu, saya tahu kamu merasa lebih dan kamu melihat korban kamu itu sebagai orang yang lebih lemah daripada kamu, tapi kamu harus ingat. Benih yang kita sebar pasti akan menuai hasil. Jadi suatu saat kamu, atau mungkin saat kamu sudah berkeluarga, anak kamu mungkin yang akan menerima balasannya. Kita sama-sama mahluk Tuhan, sudah seharusnya kita belajar untuk melihat sisi terbaik dari orang lain :)
